It doesn't matter if it is F1 racing or NASCAR, any kind of high-end motor racing uses some sort of data acquisition. I don't know why people aren't getting into the data business. It seems to me that it is a job that is always hiring. I know that from a business standpoint, it is also important. Managers want to know how much profit was gained or lost. It's important to know the details of where you will be working.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968381915422016850.post-82852333266149552112014-09-15T21:52:39.008-04:002014-09-15T21:52:39.008-04:00Thank you, SK. Not saying it doesn't exist, I'm just not aware of it. However, I suggest any type of mathematics/statistics degrees coupled with mechanical engineering (as I have) will help you work toward that goal. From there, just putting your hat out to work with small teams (initially as a volunteer, and for expenses -- an apprentice or intern, if you will) helps toward your goal.

And, given the personalities you'd be working with, brushing up on the people skills is an absolute must, with skills in public speaking a major plus.GregAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18007558470256950003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1968381915422016850.post-24644277539937415112014-09-14T10:02:19.520-04:002014-09-14T10:02:19.520-04:00Awesome article Greg. Are there any specific universities (masters studies) from where teams look to hire data engineers, given that they have become an absolute necessity nowadays ? Thanks!skhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16164720714214810860noreply@blogger.com
